Why Alaska?!?!

Since our family has made the decision of making our dream a reality, we have been letting our family and close friends know that this is actually something that is happening.  The first question out of all of them is "Why did you choose Alaska?!"....Well there are many reasons we are choosing to move our life to Alaska and I have compiled a list of 10 of the great things we are moving to Alaska for. (also keep in mind we are not talking about Northern Alaska/Tundra where the polar bears live lol)

♥ Alaska is the Last Frontier....there are many opportunities for expansion and growth as well as Land Lottery's that Alaskan residents can participate in as well the prices of some of the most beautiful land on earth.

♥ The landscape and scenery is magnificent

♥ Whale Watching, bears, wolves, moose, eagles, halibut, salmon and many more amazing animals and wilderness

♥ The Aurora Borealis...The Northern Lights

♥ Camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, mountain climbing, skiing, snow boarding, fishing, ice skating, etc. and all around adventuring

♥ The population of nasty little bugs, etc is scarce, for example there are no cockroaches, termites, killer bees or snakes.

♥ I've heard the indigenous peoples of Alaska are amazing!

♥ Amazingly clean Air and water (No pollution!!)

♥ Panning for gold in your backyard

♥ During these crazy times when the world is becoming an increasing more unstable place you never know what is going to happen (i.e. economic collapse, war, terrorist attacks, super-viruses, zombie apocalypse) where do you want to be...We want to be in Alaska. It is not densely populated and due to frequent power outages and other events many people already have wooden stoves, generators, kerosene lamps, manual appliances, and survivalist equipment...not to mention hunting rifles, fishing and camping gear, smokers, canners, and access to a clean water supply. But seriously, would you rather live in Chapel Hill, NC or Homer, Alaska, if the Sh*t hits the fan???
